Blume prefers ventures that have achieved some degree of customer validation (product already launched in market) and are showing at least some early signs of product-market fit. We do not fund business plans or ideas on excel or powerpoint. We fund ideas in action!
B2B firms should have reached an Annual Revenue Runrate of Rs 1 cr or should be crossing ARR of Rs 1 cr very soon, and have an equivalent order book.
B2C apps should have the following • Users: DAUs crossing 5k, MAUs crossing 20k • Growth: 20-25% growth month on month • Engagement - some metric which tells us how long they interface with the app. Such as time spent on the app, non-notification linked usage, do they check other people's profiles, do they share from here to instagram etc. This is a bit more qualitative than the other two.
Please note that Blume typically invests $1-3m (8-25crs) in tech-led plays for 12-20% stake in the venture. We DO NOT do angel or seed funding, i.e., where the quantum is say Rs 1 - 4 crs. We also DO NOT co-participate in a large round of say Rs 20 - 30 crs where the stake we get will be less than 10%.
